In the beginning

Richie started acting in 2012, joining the Richard Green Academy, adult drama class. That year he designed and built two sets for the academy, one for the youth production of "High School the Musical" and the set for "Footloose". Richie also appeared in Footloose, taking the principal role of Wes Warnicker, Performing in a week long run at the Hull New Theatre.

That same year Richie worked backstage for the Hessle Theatre Company on "Curtains" and with the Chameleon Players on "Blythe Spirit".

Later Joining the improvisational Murder Mystery company "It's Murder" in the summer of that year and performing regularly at events.

At the end of that year Richie was cast in one of the lead roles of "Houseguest" as Detective Burford and due to the director suffering illness during the early rehearsals, Richie took on the responsibility and co-directed the show.

A good start

In 2014 Richie performed twice with Hessle theatre Company, first as the puppeteer for Audrey II in "Little Shop of Horrors" at Hull Truck Theatre and again as Big Julie in "Guys and Dolls" at the Hull New Theatre. Keeping busy on stage with performances as Romeo in "Codpieces", and taking on five different roles in a short tour of "Wind in the Willows". Performing as Medford the Butler in "Pastiche" to great reviews at the Bilton Theatre. Finally returning to the Hull new Theatre as a supernumary in the Evita UK tour.

Richie entered into Film and television this year too, appearing in a couple of short films as an a extra first before joining the IPM agency. Immediately being cast in the Horrible Histories feature film "Bill" as a featured character, then making small appearances on ITVs Emmerdale and the BBCs the Syndicate. Richie was then cast as a high ranking military figure in the film "A Royal Night Out". Also appearing on an "in house" corporate video for Smith & Nephew. Finally finishing off the year in a principal role in the short film "Boy Nothing".

Throught the year Richie recorded Three radio style comedy plays for the Hull City of Culture with the New Tides organisation.these podcasts are "In the Moment" by Mark Bones, "the Uncommon Toad"  by Clinton Wastling and "Fair Game" by Andrew Jackson. Richie also performed at the Fruit theatre with the New Tides company on several occasions.

Stepping up...

In 2015 Richie was successfully been cast in the short film "Wonderful" by Berry productions and landed the lead role in the feature film "The Photographer 2: inside the dark room". both released in 2016

Still keeping ties with the theatre by working on Hessle theatre companies production of "Sister Act" as a Spotlight operator.

also working for "Red Herring Games" as a lead actor on Murder Mystery events around the UK.

Now based in North London with new professonal head shots by David Price photography.
First London based job was modeling for Sheila Akposubi. Quickly followed by two Coroprate videos. one for the London met University and one for a new mobile phone app.

Richie has self promoted and successfully been employed  acting in a Poilt with comedian Rob Beckett.

Ending the year as Father Christmas at the prestigious Lapland UK.

Strength to strength

Now in 2016, Richie is rehearsing for the Swindon Fringe in the lead role of the play "Ab:solution". Keeping in film with the sort film "Ice Tulip" to be shown at the BFI London. Also Richie will be playing the lead role of Prospero in Shakespeares The Tempest in the center of London as part of the 400th aniversary of shakespeare, with a role in Romeo & Juliet later in the year too.
